URBASTUDIOURBANISME & ARCHITECTURE

Yellopark urban project

The project, named YelloPark, was initiated in September 2017 by Waldemar Kita (FC Nantes) and Yoann Joubert (Réalités group). After a year of consultation, Nantes Métropole put an end to the project.

The team of Dominique Perrault / Une Fabrique de la Ville was selected in November 2017 to develop the urban and landscape project.

Covering a 23-hectare plot, it included the construction of a new stadium with 40,000 seats by the summer of 2022, adjacent to the current Beaujoire Stadium, as well as a housing program of 1,500 units, a health and well-being center, offices, shops, and a market hall.

During the first phase of defining the master plan for the district and the stadium, the restricted group produced work to identify the challenges, integrate the site into the territorial identity of Nantes Métropole while taking into account the studies already conducted.

In January 2018, with a team reinforced by Landscape expertise (VOGT), Infrastructure (SCE), and Sustainable Development (Franck Boutté Consultants), the second phase of “Definition Study and Master Plan” allowed for the development of a concrete and prospective guiding vision, carried out in parallel with a consultation phase.
